The other day I made the cheesecake pops to take for my MOPS and small group. They were so delicious. I wish I had the time to make them pretty with different sprinkles and such. They were a pain in the butt to make because I didn't have the time for the cheesecake to set overnight after I baked the cake. I should have just spent the $10 and bought one.
It was so hard to make the cake into a ball and stay on a stick so I could dip it in the chocolate.
I think the next time I make them it will be easier. First time is always a learning experience. They are weird looking but darn good.
I also made cake pops that I threw out because they tasted disgusting. Too darn sweet.
Oh my gosh... a pure genius invention!!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it!!!!
YUM
Ahhhh, Kara, those don't look bad, those look amazing and very uniform. I am very impressed. I bet you could do that with brownies too, right??
ReplyDeleteI just discovered your "Things that make me Happy" section!!! Thank you, they make me happy as well!!! So helpful.
ReplyDeleteI make the cake balls and the recipe as-is is far too sweet. When I make it, I use the Duncan Hines dark chocolate cake mix. It's a bit sticky when crumbled together. Then use about 1/2 to 2/3 of the icing -- not the whole container. Dip them in the CandyQuik brand of chocolate -- it's neither as sticky nor as sweet as other candy coatings. Try these steps and see what you think. They are so yummy!
